It really is very humbling sometimes to see the genuine goodness of people. A true well intentioned good deed stands out a mile. There is no adulation or self promotion wanted. This was the case last thursday, when myself and my brother attended a fashion show at the standhouse hotel on the curragh,which was the culmination of months of quiet work done by the local lions club in kilcullen in hopes of purchasing for us an adapted mini van. The days of transferring into an ordinary car are numbered, and sometimes it can be pure chance whether we make the transfer successfully, or end up on the ground.

The atmosphere was great fun, helped in no small part by the host for the night Brenda Donahue. Her humour kept the mood of the evening upbeat all night. The event was so well organised, and ran so smoothly which was a testimony to the amount of preparation which went into it. It was a great fun night out for all, and hopefully the proceeds will be of lasting benefit.
